High winds knock out power in Western Washington (Everett Herald)

SEATTLE — High winds hit parts of Western Washington early today, knocking out electrical service for more than 50,000 utility customers. The National Weather Service reported gusts of 60 mph in Hoquiam, 56 in Everett and 56 in Olympia.
