The University of Washington won the Temple Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, defeating England’s University of Warwick on Wednesday by three lengths on the opening day of the regatta on the river Thames.

Manchester, NH- Shawn Bowman homered for the third time in four games, but the Altoona Curve defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 6-1, on Friday night before a crowd of 6,120 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium in the opening game of a three-game series between the two division leaders in the Eastern League.
