Washington state not a finalist for federal education grant

SEATTLE – Washington state is not a finalist for the competitive federal education grant program called Race to the Top. U.S. Education Secretary announced the finalists Tuesday morning. Eighteen states and the District of Columbia have a chance to win a share of $3 billion
